ROSHAN PACKAGES CODE OF CONDUCT FOR
SUPPLIER, CONSULTANT AND CONTRACTOR

Roshan Packages Limited (RPL) is committed to do business positively by ensuring the rights of all stakeholders are complied. We believe that our all stakeholders including our suppliers, consultants and contractors adhere to the code of conduct in proper way. This code of conduct includes all the requirements that our stakeholder must adopt as under UNGC (United Nation Global Compact) 10-Principles, ILO (International Labor Organization, EPA (Environmental Protection Act.) that we adopted in the same manners:

1. BUSINESS SUSTAINABILITY:

RPL is committed to managing and developing its business in a responsible and sustainable manner. It begins with operating with integrity- respecting fundamental responsibilities in the areas of human rights, labour, economic, environmental, and social responsibilities. It is baseline for sustainable business and beneficial to our stakeholders including supply chains. We are committed to respect and support the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights. We compete and do business based only on quality and competence. We have zero tolerance for corrupt activities of any kind, whether committed by RPL employees, officers, or third parties acting for or on behalf of the Company. RPL believes that bribery and corruption have severe consequence for the society at large and for the organizations and individuals associated/involved in such activities.

2. STRENGTHENING SOCIETY:

As sustainable company RPL look beyond his own walls and care for the society around. Poverty, conflict, an uneducated workforce and resource scarcity are also strategic issues for business success and viability. We believe that our suppliers, contractors and consultants must comply on strengthening of neighborhood by which they will get benefits for being active stakeholder with long run, knowing that they cannot thrive when the world around them is deteriorating.

3. LEADERSHIP COMMITMENT:

RPL Leadership including CEO and Board of Director is fully focused to comply all social and human rights. Every type of resource that mandatory and necessity of workers, contractors, legal authorities and other stakeholders are provided. Leadership comply all anti-corruption, bribery, environmental, money laundering laws. We believe that the leadership of our suppliers, contractors and consultants must comply business integrity laws in the same manners

4. ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

RPL look forward his suppliers, contractors or consultants fulfil all environmental requirements defined by law, environmental permits or similar standards. They should have system for responsibilities assignment regarding environmental issues within their organizations. They should ensure that their staff has received appropriate trainings, or has appropriate experience in environmental issues.

5. SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
1) OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY

Our suppliers, contractors or consultants should fulfil all applicable legal Occupational Health & Safety requirements. They should assign responsibility for Occupational Health &Safety in its organization. They should ensure that written Occupational Health & Safety instructions exist, and that they have been communicated to all employees. They must have document all accidents and corrective actions taken. Stakeholders that operate within RPL sphere of responsibility, such as inside mill.

2) BASIC WORKERS’ RIGHTS

All the suppliers, sub-suppliers, contractors and consultant must obey ILO Child labour laws with mandatory requirement. They will ensure any worker below 18 years of age is employed for the job with risk of nutrition, child abuse, health safety or education bound. No worker below 15 years is working at any level. Any form of involuntary labour in operation is not in practice.

3) WAGES AND WORKING HOURS

RPL believes to pay all employees at the least the minimum wage defined by laws applicable in their country and as per collective bargaining agreement. There must be no violation in working hours specified in the ILO Conventions on working hours (C1, C14, R106, and R132) and national legislation or applicable collective agreement.

6. CORRUPTION

We want our suppliers, contractors and consultants employees including top management has serious concern on the corruption and bribery issue. They are advised to refrain from any kind of corruption and bribery activity. They are also suggested to support RPL in the endeavor.

7. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

All the relevant parties are advised to immediately report any non-compliance with above Sustainability Requirements to RPL. You are also advised to immediately report any incident that can have a reputational or other business impact on RPL. Please supply information and data regarding sustainability issues (including e.g. information on sustainability goals, and legal compliance). (If required). All the suppliers, contractors and consultant must allow RPL, or a third party authorized by RPL, to conduct an audit of the Supplier’s operations relevant for the observance of these Sustainability Requirements. (If required)

8. ENFORCEMENT

If RPL finds that the Supplier or Sub-Supplier is not meeting above requirements and expectations set forth in these Sustainability Requirements, RPL will offer guidance to the Suppliers with respect to matters requiring correction or that need improvement and we want our Suppliers to provide the same guidance to the Sub-Suppliers.
